All institutions participating in the NITLE Network receive the Sakai Basic Service as part of their Network participation. Sakai Basic Service offers access for up to 100 users and 10 courses within a shared, hosted instance of Sakai and also includes all server and application maintenance operations. To enroll in the Sakai Basic Service, the participating college's campus liaison should fill out and submit the online enrollment form.
Institutions enrolled in our standard level of Sakai Service can select from six levels of service, which provide access for up to 3,000 users within a standardized, hosted instance of Sakai dedicated strictly to the enrolled campus. Standard updates and other service changes occur on a pre-determined schedule. Standard service includes all server and application maintenance operations. To enroll in the Sakai Standard Service, the participating college's campus liaison should fill out and submit the online enrollment form.

Participating colleges also have the option of enrolling in the Sakai Customized Service, which provides access for up to 3,000 users within a customizable, hosted instance of Sakai dedicated strictly to the enrolled campus. The customized service also includes all server and application maintenance operations. The enrolled campus fully controls configuration and other aspects of the application; a set-up fee for custom configuration applies. Customization and code changes are available via consultation with NITLE. To enroll in the Sakai Customized Service, the participating college's campus liaison should fill out and submit the online enrollment form.

Two authentication options are available to institutions enrolled in NITLE's Sakai Services:

Any NITLE participating college may use our technical consultation services to address its Sakai-related issues, regardless of whether it is enrolled in NITLE's Sakai Services. Campuses can use these consulting services for projects involving the transfer of legacy data, research, and general problem-solving.
