Ruben provides technical support and solutions for NITLE collaborative projects and learning opportunities, including technical support for programs utilizing online collaboration and sharing. He also provides user support and access to applications for program planners and participants. As part of NITLE's Technology Team, Ruben works closely with staff at participating institutions to ensure the mission of NITLE is supported on a technical level.
A Technology Specialist for NITLE, Ruben received his B.A. in Biology from the University of Colorado. He has worked with a variety of technology firms such as Apple, HP, and AMD. He has a foundation in managing global projects and supporting software deployments on various levels. Ruben also comes to NITLE with experience supporting the technology initiatives at Colorado College.
As an avid outdoorsman, competitor, and amateur photographer, Ruben spends most of his free time exploring the vast trail network that surrounds the greater Austin area. He also participates in local running and mountain biking events. Whether mapping his treks by GPS or embracing the digital workflow for his photography, Ruben is constantly searching for ways to fuse his passions for technology and nature with his competitive spirit.
