Rebecca Davis, formerly a program officer on NITLE's program team, was named Associate Director of NITLE Programs on February 1, 2007. In her new role at NITLE, Davis will continue to work from NITLE's offices at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. As Associate Director, she will work closely with Nancy Millichap, Director of NITLE Programs, and the NITLE program team to sustain and extend NITLE's ability to develop a focused and innovative programming agenda that that promotes pedagogical innovation.
"Rebecca brings to her new role experience in a number of key program areas, a record of outstanding work in moving the NITLE community forward in the areas of inter-campus teaching and the development of collaborations, and a strong understanding of the campus environment," said Millichap. "We are fortunate to have her move into this new position as we work together to realize our many exciting opportunities."
Davis received her B.A. in Russian and Classical Studies at Vanderbilt University and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She taught Classical Studies at Rhodes College, Denison University, and Sewanee: The University of the South. Prior to serving as a NITLE program officer, she served as Assistant Director for Instructional Technology at the Associated Colleges of the South Technology Center.
