A range of campus roles and a variety of perspectives are represented on the regional councils. Members include chief academic officers, directors of library and information technology, faculty, and library and instructional technology staff. Regional councils are composed to represent the full spectrum of size, resource level, and geographic location of the participating colleges found in the regions. Each regional council represents the collective strategic interests of the participating colleges in its respective region.
These councils provide important feedback regarding program development. In addition to regional perspective, members bring knowledge of their home campuses and professional communities to the table. They provide ongoing feedback about NITLE programs and proposals to NITLE's Instructional Innovation Fund. In so doing, they define and articulate areas of focused initiative of particular value and relevance to their regions.
Regional advisory councils also work with our campus liaisons to maximize the value of NITLE programs for individual participating colleges. This coordinated effort strengthens each liaison's ability to link the strategic interests of his or her individual college with the goals and outcomes articulated by the councils to best advantage.
