Todd Kelley was named NITLE's Director of Strategy and Planning and Deputy Executive Director yesterday. He will assume his duties on May 1, 2006, working from NITLE's offices at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and from Maryland. As Director of Strategy and Planning, Kelley will identify, investigate, and recommend services and programs to be offered to NITLE participating colleges. He will also work closely with NITLE leadership to execute and develop NITLE’s business model, organizational structures, and operational strategy.
“Todd brings a rare combination of skills, qualities, training, and experience to the position,” said Jo Ellen Parker, Executive Director of NITLE. “His deep knowledge of campus information organizations and his library background are especially valuable additions to our staff.”
Kelley currently serves as Associate Provost for Information Technology Services and University Librarian at Sewanee: The University of the South (Sewanee, TN). At Sewanee, Kelley's responsibilities include oversight of all academic and administrative technologies and information services, networking and telecommunications, and the integration, printing, and publication of multiple complex communication chains into coherent documents.
Kelley holds a Bachelor's degree from The Crane School of Music (SUNY, Potsdam); two Masters’ degrees from Stony Brook University and Columbia University; and a Doctor of Management from the University of Maryland.
NITLE, the National Institute for Technology and Liberal Education, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting liberal education.
